Today, I was treated to a great Colombian guitarist at the Windhorse Cafe.  Diego Jimenez serenaded us as we ate our lunch. Borscht and Spanish music in Cuenca.  La Vida es buena.

The construction project started in November 2011 and was expected to be completed in a year.  The Big Dig as its been called is coming in almost 2 months ahead of schedule and under budget.

I will miss being able to walk to Supermarket without any traffic or watching out for cars. El Presidente will be traveling from Quito to Cuenca for the opening of the roadway.

One of the best parts of living in Cuenca is experiencing new places, foods and people.  The foods are from the California Kitchen, Amcry Swiss Restaurant and Windhorse Cafe. The plants are Sharon’s new project. And, I never get tired of taking pictures of the churches and rivers in Cuenca.
